Your position

As a junior Electronics Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineering team to design, develop and test electronic circuits and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to grow and gain hands-on experience in electronics design, working on real-world projects that impact our customers.

Your responsibilities are

• Develop electrical systems and components, including specification, design, and implementation;
• Assist in the design and development of electronic circuits and systems, including schematics and PCB layouts;
• Participate in the analysis and simulation of circuit designs using industry-standard tools;
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop prototypes and perform testing and debugging of electronic components;
• Program and debug embedded software;
• Support the integration of electronic designs into larger systems and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations;
• Document design processes, test procedures, and results to ensure clear communication across the engineering team.

Our expectations

• Bachelor or Master degree in the field of electrical engineering or a related field;
• 0-5 years of work experience in the field of electronics/embedded systems;
• Preferably experience in topics like system engineering, PCBA design, DFM/DFT, Embedded Systems, PCB lay-outing;
• Basic understanding of electronic circuit design, including analogue and digital components;
• Knowledge of electronics design software is nice to have (Altium, Zuken, Eagle, Mentor, KiCad);
• Knowledge of circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) is a plus;
• Knowledge of embedded software development (e.g. C, C++) is a plus;
• Eager to work in a multidisciplinary team;
• An open minded and out-of-the-box thinker;
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English (Dutch is appreciated).

Our expectations

• A Bachelor or Master degree in the field of electrical engineering or a related field;
• Preferably experience in topics like system engineering, PCBA design, DFM/DFT, Embedded Systems, PCB lay-outing;
• At least 5+ years of work experience in a technical environment;
• Knowledge on how to design and review electrical schematics;
• Knowledge of electronics design software is nice to have (Altium, Zuken, Eagle, Mentor);
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and/or embedded systems;
• Eager to work in a multidisciplinary team;
• An open minded and out-of-the-box thinker;
• Technical and conceptual insight;
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English (Dutch is appreciated).

As an Embedded Hardware Engineer you perform the design, layout, testing and validation of Embedded Systems. In this role you are responsible for the  full chain of activities such as research, design, development and testing of Embedded Systems.. • Experience in Design-For-Manufacturing and Design-For-Testing; 
• Experience with PCBA design, CAD software, simulation software and validation methods e.g.:-
  -Altium/Cadence/MentorGraphics/Zuken/Eagle/etc.
  -LtSpice/PSpice/etc.
  -C/C++/Python (reading, scripting, debugging).

• Simulating and modelling power electronics systems to ensure stability and functionality;

• Conducting experimental tests and evaluations on power electronic prototypes to verify designs and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards;
• Collaborating with other engineering teams to integrate power electronics into broader system designs;
• Providing technical support for power electronics products post-launch, troubleshooting issues, and devising solutions to enhance performance.

Key Skills and Competencies

Successful Power Electronics Engineers combine deep technical knowledge with practical skills. Essential competencies include:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively tackle engineering challenges;
• Excellent mathematical and computational skills to develop accurate models and simulations;
• Proficiency in using design and analysis software specific to power electronics applications;
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams, with excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly;
• Keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to design and troubleshooting.

Our expectations

• A Master or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics or a related specialization is highly advantageous;
• Hands-on experience with Power Electronics tools and software, such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, and other tools relevant to the specific industry or job role;
• A solid foundation in analogue design, as well as a thorough understanding of electronic components such as microcontrollers, semiconductors, and magnetics.
